My Approach to Therapy
I think most positive outcomes from therapy start with a strong working relationship between the Therapist and the client. Learning about you through the context of your environment, history, and how you view yourself and the world is important to me. I seek to understand your unique way of thinking and feeling which involves trust and patience. I am integrative and collaborative, meaning I incorporate methodologies that we discuss first, and the line of communication is always open. My goal as a Therapist is to support you as we process what may be at times uncomfortable thoughts and emotions, and work our way towards self compassion and healing.
I work through a multicultural lens and am LGBTQ+ affirmative. I have been trained in Psychodynamic, Narrative, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Trauma Informed and Inference Based), Gestalt, Satir, and Existential theoretical frameworks.
