My Therapeutic Approach

I think most positive outcomes from therapy start with a strong working relationship. Learning about you through the context of your environment, history, and how you view yourself and the world is important to me. I seek to understand your unique way of thinking and feeling which involves trust and patience. I am integrative and collaborative, meaning I incorporate methodologies that we discuss first, and the line of communication is always open.

My goal as a Therapist is to support you as we process thoughts and emotions that may be uncomfortable at times, and work our way towards acceptance, compassion, and empowerment.

I work through a multicultural lens and am LGBTQ+ affirmative. I have been trained in Psychodynamic, Narrative, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Trauma Informed and Inference Based), Gestalt, Satir, and Existential theoretical frameworks. I’m client-centered and believe in the whole person, harm reduction model of therapy. I will meet you where you are at, and together we can chip away at old patterns and narratives and gradually gain access to your authentic self.
